Sheriff’s office looking for witnesses, video after man killed in Lynnwood apartment

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Detectives are investigating after a man was murdered inside a Lynnwood apartment.

Deputies were called to the building in the 15400 block of 35th Avenue West for a report of an attack with a weapon shortly before midnight Monday.

When they arrived, they found a man in his 30s dead. There was no one else inside the apartment.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said the incident was initially reported as a stabbing, but the cause of the victim’s death is unclear.

The homicide is not believed to be random.

No suspect is in custody.

Detectives are gathering evidence and video footage to identify possible suspects.

Anyone with doorbell camera or surveillance footage, or who has information about the attack is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the victim and his cause of death once they are determined.
